I have 2 sets of twins my self. I know how hard it can be on the pocketbook raising them too. I buy diapers when they are on sale. I get WIC which really helps out with formula, milk, eggs, juice and things like that. My oldest daughter (who is not a twin) gets lots of hand me down clothes from he cousins. I have boy/boy and boygirl twins and I buy all white onesies and socks so they each can wear them. To go garage sales, soemtimes you can get really good deals on really nice things (I like to go to the ones is the more well-off neighborhoods, because they like to basicaly give away practically brand new things). If you think you may qualify for food stamps you should look into it, it really helps out. If you live in Michigan there is also MSHDA and they help out with rent or mortgage payments (they probably have that same thing in other states). Good Luck!

Don't buy double outfits. It's cutesy, sure, but save it for special occasions. They can share outfits, which is half the battle. Look to freecycle.org for free clothing, free toys, etc.

Try going to freecycle.org. People offer up items they are no longer using. You can get all kinds of baby stuff. Everything on the site is free.
