Not in my lifetime. They care too little about actually putting a winning team on the field of their moneymaking beer garden. As long as Arnie Harris or whoever the current camera crew is can find the hot babes in bikini tops, they have no other concerns.

You may surprised to learn that the Cubs indeed *have* won a World Series, but none since 1908. It's true!

I have faith in my Cubbies!! They will win a World Series and I believe it will be in my lifetime. I have been a diehard fan since I was little I am 34 now. My Red Sox finally won and since then they are doing well. I know the Cubs year is soon I will not give up.
The Cubs won back to back World Series in 1907 and 1908 beating the Tigers both years.. looks like history is repeating itself, the Red Sox won, the Tigers are doing well, time for the Cubbies!!!!

What, you expect the Cubs to win one every century? Try and show a little patience.
In 2008 the Cubs are going to celebrate the win with a team reunion. All fans who bring their ticket stubs from the 1908 World Series get in free, no ID required!

Their problem right now is that they have wasted too many years building the franchsie around Mark Prior and Kerry Wood. Those two pitchers can't stay healthy. They have Derrick Lee and Aramis Ramirez to build around offensively and Carlos Zambrano is their best pitcher, but they need more pitching.
