Since WHEN was this site a political site?

Nothing like you'd think, actually. I stumbled on this site by accident, I think because I needed to know a couple words in different languages.

Then I found this forum, and football season was over, so I needed a new source of entertainment. Since our posts have no bearing on the real world, that's really all this site is to me, since I rarely get real answers to my legitimate questions. (BTW- If you know anything about computers, could you please try answering my last question, because it's driving me crazy.)

I have done everything suggested, and it still doesn't work. If you have any ideas, I would really appreciate the input. Because this lap top is about to go out the window and into my neighbor's pool.

Well to be honest i discovered my love of politics in a very unlikely place .....school!! hahaha I took a government class my senior year and i found out that i really loved the whole aspect of power and just the whole fact that i have rights!! i mean what are they good for if we dont take advantage!!! I actually have a say in how our government is run! i am already registered to vote because (it sounds dorky but oh well) I couldnt wait!!

I was watching a local newscast when I was in college. (They DID have TV back in the 60's). They showed some woman who was protesting for an increase in her welfare benefits.

She said "I DEMAND and increase in my welfare benefits. It's my RIGHT." At that moment that I realized that I had to abandon my family's Democrat roots and switch to the Republicans.

While I haven't been totally happy with them, but it's the best chance I've got.

Since I was about 12 or 13 I liked watching debates on T.V.
And I'm on this site to see how other people think.

I want to see this country be as it was.. please don't misunderstand..
I want English speaking people - even if it broken English. I want people respecting and honoring our flag, and our ways..
My grandparents came, learned English, though it remained broken for the most part.. but their love for this country and her people, was outstanding!
They fought for this country, my father fought for this country, my husband, and my sons.. I dislike seeing their service to this country become a slap in their faces.
