I'm not for them. It's just plain murder in my eyes. Young girls and fathers say their not ready to be a parent but I say if you're ready for sex than you're ready for a baby.

I'm against abortion. It's clearly *not* murder ("murder" is a legal term, and the state defines what it applies to), but it is terrible. And I agree with you that if you're ready for sex, then you're ready for a baby.

However, a lot of young kids who *aren't* ready for sex are having sex anyway!! And some abortions are performed as a result of rape or incest. And, lastly, I have enough of my own problems--I don't need to be telling other people how to solve *theirs*. So even though I'm anti-abortion, I'm pro-choice.

I am totally against abortion, in all circumstances. If the young woman was raped, there is some loving parent out there who wants that baby. As for the argument that the "fetus" is not a life, i don't agree there either. My oldest child was born at 23 weeks gestation, which alot of people consider too young to be alive. She not only was alive, she was a person, although little. She survived being born that early and is a healthy active twelve year old now. Several health plans that have been introduced would not have allowed for her survival placing her as a burden to society because it cost so much to try to save her and there is a possibility of long term health problems due to Pre-maturity. Every child deserves a life, from the moment it starts.

If teenagers think they are ready to have unprotected sex then they should be ready to handle the consequences, if not then give the baby up for adoption. Abortion should only be an issue if it is a result of rape (not statutory rape) or incest and if having the baby will cause very serious health problems for the mother. In a world where people are told to take responsibility for their actions, having sex and then told they can just get rid of it because they don't want the responsibility is a little hypocritical.

I'm for it.

Sooner or later, the world is going to hit the point of complete and utter starvation. Look at some some of the countries today such as those in Africa. The people there are starving.

If you see abortion as murder, which is worse, death before knowing the evil and harshness of the world or death through starvation?

Kids don't deserve a life of coming into the world just to starve and die.

It isn't about being for or against abortions. It's about being able to accept it as a way of life if the needs of the whole global population can't be met by the diminishing resources (food, water, energy, etx.) that are left.

Don't forget about possible exceptions for medical emergencies or rape.

In certain circumstances I'm all for it. If a girl is raped and becomes pregnant then having the child would just remind her of that for the rest of her life. Nowadays many diseases, defects etc can be detected before birth and termination is an option. Theres no point in a child living for a few years in pain and the parents having to go through so much emotional pain when it can be avoided. Some people really have to be more open-minded about abortion.

Women who get abortions are selfish. I only agree with abortion when there is a big chance the mother could die. I had a child that was unplanned when I was 18. Her father and I are great parents. I feel that if you are mature enough to have sex, you should be mature enough to raise a child. Mature and raising a child means supportiong the child by working and not welfare. I just had to put that in there. By the way, abortion IS murder.

Why women have abortions
1% of all abortions occur because of rape or incest; 6% of abortions occur because of potential health problems regarding either the mother or child, and 93% of all abortions occur for social reasons (i.e. the child is unwanted or inconvenient).

Oh GOD! Here comes the gestapo with their nonesense again.

The .000000000001% of women who get pregnant BY RAPE and go for an abortion vs. the 99.999999999999% who spread their legs
and say, "Oopsie! I guess being a whore got me pregnant and it's all HIS fault!"

I am for keeping abortion legal, b/c most women are too stupid to raise another human. HOWEVER, you people that are for abortion need to stop acting like abortion isn't killing off a human life, or that the Constitution has it written somewhere as an inalienable right. Or that women are innocent little waifs who had no choice but to let some guy squirt all inside her.

It's a disgusting practice, but unfortunately, we have so many dumb people in this world, that it is a necessary practice.

I used to be pro-life. That's because my great grandmother grew up in a very conservative time and society and got pregnent when she was 17 and unmarried. This wasn't cool. She could have had some back-alley abortion and, poof!, I wouldn't be here three generations later. But she didn't. So that was my main reasoning. But today, after a bit more growing, maturing, and socializaiton, I am officially pro-choice. Though right now I could never imagine myself ever haivng an abortion, who am I to say what someone else should or shouldn't do?

I totally agree on what your saying. But sometimes abortion is the only answer, I mean if the baby is making the mother ill and the baby won't be healthy when he/she arrives the best thing to do would be to have an abortion, I mean what would be the sense of the mother dying and leaving an ill baby for someone to take care of? I don't know, in most cases I don't agree with abortion but for health reasons I do.
