When I went to the register at Wal Mart and when the cashier rung the diapers up( i bought a big box with 104 in it) instead of just taking $11.00 of it she rung up the bigger pack for free. It was like $20.00. Do you think it is wrong for me to not go back to the store?

I'm sure that she scanned the diapers. Did she scan the coupon, too? If she scanned the coupon, then there is an error in their system that allowed the diapers to be "free". If you feel guilty, just call the store and tell them that you noticed the error on your receipt. They will probably apologize for any inconvenience that it may have caused you, thank you for your honesty, and leave it at that. I doubt seriously that they will ask you to come in and pay the difference. Your conscience will be clear.

we were shopping in walmart about a month ago and we had a jumbo pack of diaper with a bunch of other stuff. when I got home the diapers were not on the receipt but my husband handed them to the checker. that was there screw up and i was so happy I got free diapers. and lets face it walmart does not need money. they under pay all of there employees and screw them on there benefits. So be happy you got some free diapers.

I would call the store and speak to a manager first. It WAS their mistake, and I don't see why you shouldn't be able to keep the difference. After all, the store will be reimbursed for your diapers.

If it had been any other store, yes. But Wal Mart? Pffft.

I sincerely hope they go bankrupt in a huge scandal, and we find out ol' Sam was a homo.

Even in that shade of gray (cashier error) it's still stealing. And while you'll never get caught, you'll still know that you weren't completely honest in this situation. What you do to remedy it depends on what your conscience tells you.

A lot of these answers are going to say that Walmart has enough money and you shouldn't worry about it. Those people are all going to hell.

You should pay the difference because it will come out of her pay or she could get fired.
