It's not a stereotype if it's a fact. What trait do you think people are giving them? If it's that they all knowingly choose to kill themselves slowly and painfully, then that's not a stereotype.

PS We all seem to fall into this category in some way, so I'm not stereotyping smokers as the only ones.

My deal is, if you want to make your mouth smell like **** and the very high risk of developing lung cancer, go for it. But I don't understand why you should be weak enough to depend on something like a piece of paper filled with tar, tobacco, and poisons of different varieties.

But I don't believe all smokers are weak, and can't stop smoking.... usually I make the call once I see their habits for smoking. If they do it when they or nervous or something like that, they are dependent, if they do it at regular intervals or just in general, I usually don't see them as dependent.

i do not stereotype on things like this. while smoking may be un healthy and considered disgusting to some, it is considered a relief and soothing to others. for example, my friend says that he takes great comfort in the fact that smoking may kill him before things get worse.

You mean those pompous smokers who choose to use the roadways as their personal ashtray? I don't stereotype them, their very capable of providing the stereotype on their own!

No, Like me they have the choice not to smoke or smoke.
I made my choice not to smoke, they have made their choice to smoke. My parents had cancer when they both passed away, both smoked but it does not mean for sure the cigarettes did it. Live and let live and adjust ones life
accordingly how you feel being around smokers or not. Perhaps they do not like being around non smokers.Like I said live and let live.
