The chances are slim, but medical technology could probably help her survive (it has happened in the past, I've read about it many times).

*****************
Before 22 and after 24 weeks

Babies born before 22 weeks into a pregnancy virtually never survive. Therefore, we provide hospice care for such babies, unless there is a significant chance the baby is really more mature than we thought.

At 25 weeks and beyond, although much risk still remains, the chances that a baby will survive and be healthy in the long run are better. Therefore, once the 25 week point has been reached, intensive care is given at least initially unless there are special circumstances.

I was born 3 months premature and, at birth, weighed 1 pound 3 and a half ounces.

The doctors told my momma that I would be a 'vegetable' and not even be able to get out of bed. I didn't walk until I was 4, talk until 6 and I pretty much always have a cough because my lungs weren't fully developed, but I'm absolutely fine. :)

Good luck.

Yes, your baby could live, but it is a slim chance, and it is much better for you to go full term. I'm not saying that your thinking anything, but my sisters ex-friend forced herself into premature labor at seven months, came close to losing her baby, and now the poor child is damaged mentally because of her stupidity.

First off don't freak your self out you could cause undue stress on your self and the baby. Yes your baby can survive they have amazing technology now a days for babies and helping them they damn near can make a womb for the child. Things are so much better nowadays. PLease just take care of yourself cause of course the best place for the baby is in your body. Good luck and remember don't be to worried they have things to stop labor to.

Honeychile, I just finished advising another young lady like you to go ask such questions of her Doctor, rather than depend on a Forum like this where we are not trained Medical Professionals.

You see, these matters are of Life and Death, and you really shouldn't be taking such chances based on the advise of people like me.

I really don't understand why you young ladies are asking such questions here and if you are, in fact so naive as to follow what people tell you out of general knowledge in preference to proper Medical advise.

Based on my very general knowledge, however, young lady, I think the chances of your baby surviving, if you were to go into labor right now, would be very slim.

Anyway, if that happened, you'd need to go to the Doctor, wouldn't you? So why don't you just go and seek help right now, rather than wait till the event?

Remember we are talking about your baby's Life or Death here.

All the best.

It depends because he or she might be in a incubitor for the three months before you take the baby home. It's going to be a tough fight for the baby because of the heart and lungs are probaly not fully developed.Just to be on the safe side if you are having complications go to the hospital or call yur doctor.

Yes. Once you are 6 months, if your baby is born he/she could survive with life support. I'm 5 months, and I think about it all the time. Try to stop worrying.
