Drink plenty of water, Keep a gallon jug of water with you. Wear white or very lite colored clothes. Cotton fabric is good to have next to your skin like t shirts and cotton underwear and cotton shorts.
You can walk around under a lite colored umberella to shield you from the sun. Try to stay in the shade as much as possible, such as under a tree or a pavillion.
They now have these new hand held mist fans that you can put water in and spray your head and face and turn the fan on to cool off.

My husband works outside and it gets to be about 106 around here. He just brings a huge water jug filled with ice and everynow again he will pour water all over his head and of course he drinks all of it throughout the day. Also you can't eat greasy foods for lunch or you'll end up throwing up by the end of the day.

My hubby is in the army and we live in Ga he ahs to go out to the range and stand out there for like 12 hours, so he always takes like 12-15 bottles of water and never seems to have a problem. He said he sweats like crazy. He is also trained in combat life saving adn say that most guys would do just fine if they would just stay hydrated.

Drink water BEFORE you get thirsty.
Wear a broad-brimmed hat.
Seek a shady spot when you can.
Wear sun-block cream with a SPF of 15+.
Evaporation causes heat loss so a splash of water on your skin will help keep you cooler.
