the alternator has been replaced twice so i'm thinking the problem lies elsewhere in the car .. there just seems to be no juice coming from it .. the car runs just fine on a charged battery until the power is drained out

Well you can easily check the output on the alternator with a voltage meter and it should be something above 12 volts, closer to 14 or 15. However, since you have replaced it twice I would look to other sources for the problem. The first place I would look is the voltage regulator, which is usually not terribly expensive or difficult to replace.

Replace the blown fusible link and don't mess around with running cable. You'll screw something up for sure. The battery charge indicator light must come on with the KOEO or the alternator won't work.

Hi,, have a mechanic do a dynostic check on your car,,, sounds like you have a power drain on something... a light,, or something????

you need to replace your starter, get a mechanic to check the ignition solenoid
