This question is for the die hard Ford fans like myself.
The reason I'm asking this question is becuase I'm thinking about building a 351 W. racing engine with a stroker kit to make it a 427.
I know the original original FE series 427 has a Y block design with cross bolted main caps. Virtually indestuctable.

The Windsor engine is lighter than the Fe engine and they offer stroker kits that you can make a 427 out of a 351.check out a few hot rod type magazines as I remember a article about it but I am not sure when it ran.
