Dogs are good friend animals, but rabbits are pretty cool because they are quiet and dont really bother you.

I have a dog and 3 cats. I would say if you have a lot of time then get a dog because they require a lot of attention. Cats are more mellow and can survive on their own. All they need is food, water, and a place to go. Never have had a rabbit and I probably will never get one. To me you can't really cuddle with them as much as a cat or a dog. I would have to say I like cats the best just because their so easy going and don't require to much work. Plus their lovable and affectionate.

Hi,,, ok here is the truth,, i have 4 dogs and 6 cats.... the dog are better because they can be the first line of defense for you ,, if someone wants to break into your house....
Most house intruders will not come in if you have a dog barking.. and it doesnt have to be a Large dog either....
I love animals,, should have been a vet ..... but i vote on the dog....
good luck

I have had all three over the years and by far, my favorite is a dog. A cat just kind of does its own thing, and does not interact with you the way a dog does and much the same thing with a bunny. A dog is your buddy, your best friend, wanting to be by your side and he loves you no matter what.

DO NOT GET A BUNNY!!!!! unless you are truly dedicated they poop everywhere, bite, eat a lot and need water every day... i have a bunny and i completely lost my mind!!!! a dog is nice but mine stinks... and i also have a cat who is just the cutest thing (kitten) and his name is kitty... odd ehh??? hehe well furthermore choose between a dog and a cat. dogs are smarter than cats and can be hilarious and entertaining... the same with cats and they are both trainable (obviously it takes work though) a dog is cute as a puppy and it'll grow loveable and will grow attached... cats are the same but dogs will be there for you and will be a step ahead of the cats lol this sounds real corny... hope it helps :D

I prefer a cat. But that's just me. Many people prefer dogs. It's all up to you. You are getting the animal, you are taking care of it. You need to think about what animal fits you better! Hope all goes well!

Dog. I bought a rabbit since neither a cat nor a dog was practical and I regretted it. They have no affection. Right how he's eating food, drinking water, and requiring cleanup to absolutely no advantage to me save some unwanted (to him) petting and four rabbit's feet.

Absolutely hands down, a dog. They just want to love you unconditionally and be near you all the time. They have such strong personalities, and it's like an instant connection. They will be your best friend and be their for you when ever you need to talk. (Their great listeners!) It's wonderful to own one, and they will warm your heart each and every day!! Good luck with your new pet, and enjoy him/her, it will be the best decision you've ever made. Especially if you are able to rescue a dog from the pound or a humane society!! Have fun!

Wow...what a question... there is NO doubt that the dog is the superior of the species. Why? Have you ever had a dog? Have you ever treated one like you would a good pet? Have you ever had a pet who's tail wagged to see you and you could see the love in it's eyes? The animal that sees you as part of the pack, if not the leader of the pack...

Honestly, they're all good in their own ways. I have a dog, two cats, and a rabbit, as well as two cockatiels and a *ton* of fish. So yes, I love all of these animals, all for different reasons.

i have had cats all my life. when i moved from sydney to melbourne 7 years ago, i went shopping for a cat....and came home with a dog! now i think getting a dog is one of the best things i have ever done......you can take them out, on holidays, go swimming at the beach. as for rabbits, i find them hard to bond with.
