There are certain Money orders that cannot be cashed in Canada. I'm not totally sure, but I think the green background ones cannot be cashed here, while the pink background ones CAN. I would suggest contacting a Canadian bank, or asking at your local postal office, if it isn't full of morons who don;t know anything about Canada.. (sorry slip of the tongue.. err finger..)

I would think so..I rec'd a Postal Money order from Canada and I am in the US and at first the guy at the post office didn't think he could cash it, but after making a phone call he found out that they could cash it. I would think it would be the same there. Just be sure to get a Postal Money order so they can cash it at the post office.

When he cashes the money order he will have to convert it to Canadian Dollars at the going exchange rate, which at this time is: The Low Rate today $1 can. = 0.8846
The High Rate today $1 Can. =0.8883
This is daily posted exchange from the Bank of Canada web site. You should be able to get the currency changed at your bank on the money order prior to sending it if your bank will do it. Just like the Lady said above me it'll probably be in the form of a international money order.

NO, I don't believe you can unless they have a special one. My sister sent a money order to Canada and it couldn't be cashed. It says right on the money order "redeemable only in the U.S or the Virgin Islands.

IT HAS TO BE AN INTERNATIONAL POSTAL MONEY ORDER WHICH COSTS MORE THAN A DOMESTIC ONE. THEY CANNOT JUST CONVERT IT!!! I WORK FOR USPS AND KNOW THIS ONE.
