It isn't easy. This seems to be the biggest shock most people ever get in their lives. Somehow the effort needed to build and maintain a life doesn't register with a lot of young people until they find themselves in shock and on their own. And at that point they buckle down and wade into life and simply begin! We all did it. You will too. And soon you will find that you have passed that first hurdle and new ones will come along to keep you challenged.
When you get old and have your memories, the tough times and struggles will be the ones you will remember and treasure most. They are the interesting times and the times of accomplishment, so go struggle and make great memories! Just know that your difficulties are not unusual and you will find a way to deal with them if you don't give up.

It is difficult. I have gone through one career change. Last time I heard the avg person will go through 5 different career changes in their lifetime. Speak to friends, family, career advisors. Do not give up. Pay attention to the things you like to do and the things you value and go after it.

Honestly, I think it's fairly easy to find careers after education if you are trained to do one specific job. That is, if you're trained to be a teacher or a nurse, it's a pretty concentrated -- and non-complex -- job search that usually ends with good results. If your degree is in Liberal Arts, and you are just looking in the paper for whatever looks appealing, you've got a long -- and probably frustrating -- job search ahead of you.

It's rough. Some times people change careers a several times through their life. If you are having difficulty you may want to visit your school's career counseling center. They have many resources.

Not many. Its a rough world out there and it seems sometimes like the only way in is to pucker up and kiss somebody's shiny behind. However, there is hope so keep your head high.

Get out there and try your best! It's not easy. I have two kids and I'm still looking for work after finishing college. Good luck!

I think it all starts with how your parents taught you how to deal with all the changes in your life to date.
