Luvs are awesome. Even White Cloud-the Walmart brand. Huggies didn't fare well with my kids. They leaked. No matter what size the company reccomended I should use. But, not everything works for every baby. Good luck.

My experiance with diapers:

My daughter is allergic to Parent's Choice and White Cloud and any other store brand that we have tried, she gets a diaper rash so bad that it is raw and bleeds and is SO PAINFUL, unfortunitly it took me 6 months to find out this cause. Not even my DOCTOR suggest changing brands, just to let her go naked more. Then I got a NEW doctor after I switched and was telling her that the rash as SO MUCH BETTER and was finally GONE and SHE SAID IT WAS THE DIAPER! Stupid first doctor! I am GLAD I changed, the first one did my pregnancy and she SUCKED then!

I had a friend give me Huggies and my daughter (newborn) ended up peeing all over me in her sleep because they leak out the sides, BUT another friend (before I could STOP them) bought me a BIG package of Huggies for when my daughter was a little older (starting to crawl) and they worked GREAT then, no leaking. SO Huggies, NOT made for NEWBORNS, made for ACTIVE and MOBILE babies!

When my daughter was born I wanted Luvs and Luvs ONLY, because of the belly button cut out on the newborn (not all that, didn't work that I had hoped, I still had to fold it down) and now we use Luvs.

Here at Wal-Mart Parent's Choice is the cheapest (allergic), White Cloud is next (allergic), then there is Luv (what we use), then there is Huggies (Luvs is CHEAPER), and finally there is Pampers (first my fiance's first son was allergic so I wasn't going to buy them on that chance my daughter may be allergic and I just wasted money and on the second reason TOO EXPENCIVE).

So I have tried just about all diapers but Pampers (and cloth).

My only question is how can Welfare people by the pampers while I am struggling (and don't qualify for state help) to buy Luvs?? Doesn't make since huh?? If they can buy Pampers I think they can go off state help and buy Luvs and struggle LIKE ME!

Luvs are great diapers...they're cheap, and they work well. I usually use the Target brand of diapers, which usually work better than any other diapers I've ever tried. My son ended up being allergic to Huggies, and Pampers tend to get expensive after a while, so I usually stick with Luvs (when I can't get to Target right away) or the Target brand. I can pick up a box of 104 Target diapers for about $14...where else can you get a deal like that?

I loved LUVS!!! I hated Huggies, I thought they were too stiff or something. Pampers were pretty good, but more expensive. But I had a boy and they always worked great with him and they are like 6 bucks a package cheaper than Huggies and Pampers. With diapers, though you really have to just find what works best for you and your baby. As you can see from previous answers everyone seems to have their own opinions. White Cloud, too (Wal-mart brand) worked very well for me when my son was a baby, but once he got about 6 months-1 year he started leaking through those like crazy.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I got alot of differnet types diapers including Luvs at my baby showers. Unfortunately I found out that Luvs did not work that well on my daughter. Not to say that they are bad diapers but they just didn't fit her as well as huggies. She is almost 2 years old and we only use huggies on her. All babies are different though.

I used Pampers until the coupons ran out and then I switched to Luvs and found that they worked just as well. I had a boy and then a girl and used Luvs for both.

I use Kushies ultra cloth diapers and they are fabulous. I will use disposable at night and on long outings. I prefer Pampers Swaddlers because they are so soft but you can't beat the price of Luvs for disposable and I've never had a problem with them.

I think Huggies are the best i am a mother of 5 and have had 2 kids that have eczema..I think they keep kids the dryest and are the most breathable especially the Huggies deluxe are better in summer...You want avoid the plasticky diapers in summer..My kids tended to get rashey on the back...from diapers so I would switch to the deluxe..

I used luvs diapers for my girl, but I had some problems with them with my boys. When they woke up in the morning their t shirt would be soaked b/c the front didn't fit well. But, I loved them with my girl. My boys both used huggies b/c of the great fit!!
