My earliest memory is of watching a man in a funny suit hop off a ladder onto a strange beach... I was five and watching the first steps of a human onto the moon in 1969. The reason I remember it is because it was the first time I saw my mother cry - from a feeling of profound hope, as she later explained to me. If humanity can achieve something so remarkable, perhaps the fears of our own self-inflicted demise could be not only alleviated, but banished.

I have a memory of being in a crib/pram. This is my first memory, I was under a blue blanket and was thinking "it's too warm!"

Apparently this is rare and it's rare to have memories before the age of 4.

I remember as a child driving in the car with my dad, we parked in front of a store and looking at my reflection in the large, plate glass window, why I was bald or nearly bald. I had no memory of the hospital, I guess I was too ill to remember being admitted. I was around three years old.
