whats colour shoes go best with a little black cocktail dress, like for balls?

It totally depends on what look you're going for. If you want to be saucy, reds or oranges. Mysterious, blues or metallics are good. However I wouldn't wear black because it is very hard to match black shoes to the same shade of black as your dress. Think of what kind of impression you're trying to make, who do you want people to think you are, then go from there with your shoes and other accessories.

The fun thing about black dresses is that you can use shoes just like you use jewelery to accessorize. I'd get something festive and fun, and then you'll have all the buzz be about you and your style when you go to your ball.

Black but I like the idea of the silver and matching purse, depends on what occasion, use the black for professional or sombre and the silver for that night on the town.

basic black wear black shoes. Otherwise accessorize match bag and shoes, or wrap and shoes. It also depends on event. Don't wear red shoes,and bag with black dress to a funeral.

You can seriously wear ANY colour with black... although black shoes may be the best. red is really nice too.

go with a black heel unless your wearing gold jewelery you could get gold heels , silver jewelery silver shoes . Nothing real tacky . Make sure your clutch matches too .
