Played with Black Sabbath when Ozzy was the lead singer, he became one of Ozzie's very best friends.
When Ozzy split from Black Sabbath he went with him and was Ozzie's lead guitarist until he died . The tribute album that Ozzy did is for Randy and money made by it goes to Randy's mom. He also helped Ozzy write some of his best songs. He started playing guitar at 6 years old and he is the founding member of Quiet Riot at the age of 16. And I have to agree with you that he was probably the best heavey metal musician ever.

Randy Rhodes was an amazing guitarist...those of us old enough to have been around back then know he was an up and coming guitarist, who would have gotten better and better with time, however, was he the best? not quite...if you are looking for some guitar god inspiration, check out some yngwie malmsteen, joe satriani, eddie van halen, jimi hendrix, the great Kat ( shred- mistress) and go to video.google.com and look up bucket head! He is phenomenal!!
