Music has been another way of self expression other than voice itself. Being Haitian and part Black, when my ancestors were slaves there were times they were not allowed to speak. When it came to their-selves they expressed their emotions and struggles while mixing words and saying them quickly with a catchy tune in their head for a way out for hope. It began there to their kids and their kids and their kids. It's all a cycle and music grew through all of that. Some of our grandparents talk about how their parents made certain music to imagine good time of freedom. music is so original because certain things being said are imaginable and relate-able. Even in those certain situations that you wish you were there doing that of what the music express. And the growth of it was a better unity. That's only my idea on why music is so original.
