I'd move if you have the option to do so. Far enough away from the "nerve wracking" family has less opportunity to aggrivate you.
But not too close to the other family, unless you need them to baby-sit or other reason for closeness.
When family lives within 15 minutes, they are TOO close!
Make it at least a 30 minute trip between you and them...that's nice, and far enough to discourage "daily" drop-ins.
Good Luck

Think it over with your spouse. If you two are only disatisfied with family, Why completely move from the state? I think it is wise to evaluate the entire decision, job opportunities, living standards, etc. Not dealing with conflict as the [first option] ends up not being the best solution.

If her family got on my nerves, even from before the wedding, I wouldn't live where they do. But I have no gf, at this time. The family of the one had until two years ago, got my my nerves.
