'The Government' is a very broad term. In general, education is administered by the public collective - usually at the local level by local school districts, which can be cities or special districts that are either smaller than a city or include multiple towns.
At the State and Federal level, government is more oriented towards establishing standards, so that all students receive a common level of education. They also distribute funds to school districts and attempt to hold local districts to proper conduct.

At a state point, each and every State has an education Code. those codes regulate instructors, different college workers, investment, curriculum, testing. somebody has to set specific minimum standards and grant uniformity whilst the Federal government gets in touch and has some hairbrained component like No baby Left at the back of, it mucks each and every thing up. i don't be conscious of what state you're in, yet i could call your County place of work of education the place ever you're and ask them, i'm specific they are able to help (the NCLB is my opinion, yet i'm precise)

Government should regulate education by setting standards to be followed such as number of hours, type of teachers and facilties. It must provide the proper curriculum to be taught with emphasis on contributing to the economy. It can close schools that are not giving quality education and its graduates are not passing any government sponsored examinations.

The role is to teach children how to follow orders and to perform the same (often pointless tasks) over and over in the hopes of receiving a reward and avoiding the shame of failure for not following orders correctly.
Later, all this training translates into working for someone, taking orders, and doing the same thing everyday, for years, without question, in order to "make a living." This is what keeps the economy going: workers go to work and produce, then take their money (i.e. the "reward") and go consume.
Think about it.
