Isn't all just entertainment anyways.. It does make the game better doesn't it??

So someone can just implement a couple years ago that now it's bad and try to say it's illegal and what not??? And by the way, what kind of parents are you to have your kids try to model themselves after someone they don't know and not someone, like say.........YOU THE PARENT??

Just asking this question should raise a red flag for MLB.
Like it or not guys like Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, and Sammy Sosa are role models for youth, and while I agree that parents should be the real role models, not all kids are lucky enough to have both parents around or involved. MLB markets to kids as do all 32 teams therefore they should show the responsibility to punish cheaters / law breakers.

As far as making the game better.... I don't think so, the highest rated games in MLB are when good pitchers face each other not when the Yankees play Tampa where the possiblity exists of seeing a ton of HR's. Also, ask yourself this, is it really making the game better if we as fans accept these criminals (yes taking steroids is illegal) as legitimate entertainers. That's why we have the WWE, keep the steroids there.

It can be a liability to the league and team if the player injures himself under the use to steroids. It is also a bad influence on children who look up to the players. Also these players are being paid to play the game and if they are on steroids (which increases chance of injury) they still get paid whether or not they play.

I care!!!!If players start taking steroids then they start threatening records of the old time players who weren't taking anything and were actually naturally better. Also, there are young people who are trying to make it to the major leagues and if everyone starts taking them then it will end up being as must for players and that really threatens their over all health.

yea it's just entertainment...but why steal the integrity of the game by pulling some cheat shot like pumping drugs through your system to raise some stupid stats?.....as a female who has played several years on all-boy teams and has been an avid major league fan for years, I find it disappointing and despicable to think that any REAL man could present himself at the plate as a true player of the game with stuff like that pumping through his system!
