robes work best if made with cotton/cotten blend FLAT sheets. They get softer with each wash! They have pockets, bell sleeves and are belted (no button, zippers, etc)

If you have the robe, just copy it. Get tissue from the fabric store, or mailing paper. Lay the robe out in sections and trace. For instance, for the side, only flatten the side portion, ignoring the back. Then take the side seams into consideration. The collar would be the hardest part, that would have been a double piece with the 3 bottom sections, already seamed, set into it.

Go buy any robe pattern you like from Simplicity, McCall's, Butterick, etc. and use a sheet as the material when you cut it out.
High thread count sheets are a little difficult to sew but if this is what you want, then go ahead, have fun!

I'm more curious as to why your ex-mother-in-law won't give you the pattern...bad divorce, she's a *****, etc. ?
