I've heard of limewire and I don't really know how to do that. Your help will be appreciated.

It doesn't have to be free, but I would prefer it to be quick.

even lime wire is technically illegal. the only way to download music legally is to pay for it. *sob* I hate this country. well, maybe its not all that bad, but still!

if you are willing to pay like, 99cents for every song you download, places like http://www.itunes.com are super great. if you want to risk it with Kazza or Limewire (same type of program, but I’ve heard Kazza works better, has more stuff) all you have to do is put the name of the program into google, find their main website, download the program that looks best to you, install it, and then read their little "help" file. everything should pretty much be explained. there should be a little search bar for starters on every kind of "file sharer" that’s what kazza and limewire programs are called. once you have everything installed, and your trying to figure out how to use what you just installed, find that little bar, and type in what you were looking for. see what comes up.

but be aware!! bad lawyer type people will supply songs to be downloaded (especially on Kazza, where I guess its easier to use) and when you download them, they track your IP and find out exactly who you are so they can sue you for downloading songs. AHHHH!!! so now that you know, its your choice. many people choose not to do that, and I’m one of the ones that just does everything the legal way. I have no problem just buying my music.

however, when napster was still legal, I did download it myself and use it when I knew nothing about anything. it took me about 2 hours but I figured it all out on my own.

the reason why people dont want to tell you exactly where to go or how to install and use these types of programs, is because you can get in trouble for using them the wrong way, and the person that helps you install them and use them is breaking the law just as much as you are.

but if you dont get caught, whos going to know?

You can do it legally if you use walmart music, itunes, and napster. If you want to do it free you can use ARES. It doesn't install the spyware that limewire does, but it isn't exactly legal.
