Like would you pop her zits even if she didn't want you to and she's screaming because it hurts?

My mom had the same problem with me, I would scream while she tried to pop mine when I was young. The best thing to do is educate her on how to take care of them herself. Don't make her feel badly because she has acne, her peers will do that for her. Make it a bonding ritual, you can take care of your face while she does the same. You can do acne masks, blemish exfoliates and such together. It sounds weird but I know it will work. If she sees it as something you, as an adult, have no problem taking care of then she shouldn't either. She sees it now as a punishment, something you do to her that is painful. Also rewarding her for taking care of them herself could be helpful, nothing big, a hug can be a reward as much as, say, choosing what video you get at Blockbuster. It's all about making it something she wants to do herself, even if she is very, very young. Proactiv works great and is very easy for young ones to use themselves!

Be careful with Proactive... it works for some people, but others it makes their face worse. I know form experience. Try the basic over the counter stuff, if it's really bad talk to her doctor. Don't pop them because it can spread the bacteria. Wash her pillow cases often (once every two days, after the first day have her flip it over and use the other side). Do you know how much oil builds up on those things? If she drinks soda have her drink less. My doctor claims that diet doesn't effect skin, but I don't believe that. My skin was better when I completely cut out soda and fried foods from my diet.

get her on a good skin care regimen. cleanser, exfoliate, the right type of moisturizer for oily skin. you don't say how old she is, but if she's wearing make-up, she needs to keep it at a minimum, as it can make acne worse. If you aren't' sure about skin care products, proactive is good, so is Avon, and marykay (a little more expensive) ask around. this is something that mom and daughter can do together, have some fun with it.

My Brother has tried proactive and it helped him.. but it didn't seem to make a difference with me... I have tried differen gel and other perscription meds. but the thing that i found what works best for me is OLAY refreshing toner every morning and every night... and every morning in the shower I use Dove pillows... I'm sure she'll def. see a difference.. don't pick at them or pop them. . or else she'll end up in a big mess.

get oxy, Clearasil; proactive....experiment with the products and use the one that works. zits are usually a hormonal thing. eating greasy foods and sweets are myths. greasy hair in your face can cause acne as well.

If the acne is wide spread, take her to a dermatologist. There are prescription and face washes they can prescribe. Using a benzoil peroxide face wash will help.

tell her she's ugly and that nobody will ever love her.... LOL!!!

actually i've found that everyone's different. just try a barrage of acne treatments (even ones with the same active ingredient because most of them all have the same one) and find which one works best.

Get the CHOCOLATE, SUGAR and SNACK FOODS out of her diet and show her a skin care regimen.

And talk to her confidentially about what she's insecure about and worried about.
