Yep, I lived in a unit that had been built on the site of an old house. One night I woke up and there was an old man standing at the end of my bed. Apparently he had lived (and died) in the old house before it was bulldozed for units. Very freaky!!

If you didn't know that it was haunted, then how would it be any different than any other house? Do you mean, move into a house without knowing ahead of time that it was haunted? Some realtors will just flat-out tell you about paranormal "activity" in a house--and they'll tell you about rumors or the house's history if you ask about it. If you have concerns, then they have to give you information so that it's a good-faith deal--otherwise, it's like somebody selling you a lemon car. Some people enjoy haunted houses and seek them out, and some people avoid them like the plague. But if there's a pre-existing condition of the house, you have to be informed about it if it's going to be a deal-breaker--weirdness has to be disclosed in a business transaction. I actually read a magazine article about a realtor who sold some haunted houses, but I can't remember what mag it was. Sorry.

Oh, I knew the house was haunted, there was no doubt about it. I don't like the term 'haunted' though. Every place I have ever been, I have felt and sometimes seen the presence of spirits. They're everywhere. Some are good and some are bad. I believe it to me a unique gift that every person has, but it's all in how we use it, or nurture it. If we keep in touch with that part of ourselves, by the time we are adults, it will still be with us. But if force ourselves to put it aside, and pretend it doesn't exist, eventually it won't. I think losing it tends to affect natural intuition, though.

I am assuming you meant that you didn't know it until after you moved in. In that case, yes.
I have lived in a couple housed that turned out to have other tenants. The last one that was obvious had the landlords niece still there. We would hear someone fixing something in the kitchen and then walking into the living room as if to read or watch TV. We quickly got to where we just slept through it. Once, someone went stomping so hard through the house that it shook. One of the other places I lived had a room that I just couldn't go into. It would feel so cold and threatening to me that I figured something bad must have happened in there and the residual energy wasn't gone.

I once lived in a house where a radio came on by itself, a TV (old fashioned dial and knobs model) turned the volume up by itself, a stuffed animal fell from an entertainment center but fell at a 45 degree angle instead of straight down as well as other things

i once shared a house with my sister and brother. there was a lady murdered in that house in the late 60's there. everytime we ould turn the tv to anything besides cartoons and the kids were in the room , the tv would change to the cartoon network, if the stove were ever turned above 350 , the ghost would turn it down. and in my brothers room , he had alot of posters of bikini girls hung up and she hated that. his room used to always stay cold ,no matter how long the heat had been on. after all the strange things started happening , we researched the house and found out about the woman. we took a bunch of black lights in the house one night and could see the blood on the walls of the kitchen, we moved shortly after.
