Sorry forgot to mention, I am Canadian, why is it everyone assuming I am talking about the States.
The diplomatic route doesn't seem to be working with our neighbours, I am thinking we should move in while they sleep, sneaky like and them boom, "bobs yer uncle", 300 million new Canadians.

The U.S. has been much more successful with admiration (for arts, economy..) than with the military.
As of today no military operation by the U.S. has actually created a stable democracy (unless there was one in the first place, as in France). However the "better if not perfect" example of western democracies enticed the eastern block to swith to democracy. Mostly because those democracies had managed to get a higher standard of living.

Your questions have been awfully dark lately..it worries me..look after the kids..its what I admire you for.
I remember seeing "Bob's yer uncle" in a Calgary bar(the band)..she led the band with a long blue glass tube that behaved like a flute..I wonder if they still perform together? Don't get me wrong..you are a continent like M n G says.

Democracy imposed by force ,from another country, is not a true democracy at all. It has to come from a desire of the people, a hunger for freedom from within. Invaders can change governments, but not mindsets.

I don't think we should. I mean if we tell everyone how to live then were would be the originality. i mean we can OFFER democracy to other countries but if we FORCE it on all of them how will we ever know if theres a better way then democracy? We can't make the whole worlds gorvernment a democracy. We tell people how to live because we think its the best way to live, but how can we say its the best if we are to afriad to let others try to live theirs and see what they get?

No.
And you're mistaken if you believe that's what we're doing now. Keep in mind that, in Afghanistan and Iraq, we were forced to act because we were attacked by Muslims. If they hadn't attacked us, there would be no war. It's not about imposing values. It's about stopping violent Muslims.

Since most of the worlds morals and values are much higher then ours, I dont think that would be a good idea.
