I will have business trip to Alicante. Then, I will have a chance to expand my trip to 1-7 days. I have never been to Spain, France.. By considering travel costs, and staying costs, what should I do? My return ticket will be paid by my company from any country. By considering these how should I plan my time? only spain, only france, only portugal or combinations of these countries. Which places I should visit?
thanks

Alicante is mid-way from Portugal and France. It's some 8 driving hours either way. If i were you I'd explore the Spanish coast especially Barcelona and its area!
