I think people take showers more than baths and at the sink you are washing your face/brushing, so you can't really sing--plus, if you are showing, you are in there long enough to sing a few songs, heheh...
The reason people sing more in the bathroom in general is--the acoustics in a bathroom are great--they can make anyone sound like a star! (learned that in physics class--sound, waves, pitch, frequency...) Plus, the sound of the water during a shower drowns out your voice for everyone else in the house....

I must be the exception that proves the rule then! because i don't sing in the shower, if i sing in the bath! I put music on and sing along to my heart content! As for singing when using the sink? Well now you've made me think and answer is i don't sing when by teh sink because i listen to the news at that time! They rarely give me anything to sing about these days!

I do it because the white noise generated by the shower-head covers up my right fine singing voice!

a bath is for relaxing, a shower is for energizing, and while I have never attempted to bathe in the sink, I will certainly try. :-)

I sing and dance when cooking the dinner, especially on a sunday. Kids think I am really funny, but who cares. I don't.

You get better acoustics in the shower. It's like being in a karaoke booth, but you're naked. Wash, lather, and hum. ;)

If any bathrooms are like mine i haven't got a lock on it, so it could be that they are warning other people they are in there, and we really don't want to walk in on them when they are doing smelly things in there, do we!
