Why is it that people still talk about the past holocaust?

(and when I mean talk, I mean its brought out in every single conversation , even if you’re talking about chocolate the subject is brought up!) when theirs a HOLOCAUST HAPPENING RIGHT NOW IN PALESTINE!

or is it that when a jew dies the whole world shakes, but when billions of muslims die no one talks, and even the united nation is told to shut up...but that we all know the answer too THEY CONTROL THE MEDIA THATS WHY. but i get some ignorant answers like: the jews that were killed in the holocaust were inocent. ya, like the palestines arnt. most of the people that are killed are children, women, elder, pregnant women.... and to all thos people who say that "isreal is only protecting itself from the terrorist belt bombs" you got to be kidding, its the other way around, the palestines are protecting themselfs and their children from the isrealy terrorisim. why do you think a man would blow himself up untill his brain is scaterd on the sidwalk??? for fun??? or to get the isreals scared??? its because the isreals killed so many palestines that their life dosnt mater to them anymore. THEIR IS NOT ONE FAMILY IN PALESTIN THAT ISN'T TOUCHED BY ISREALS TERRORISM.

Because of the UN, USA, UK mirrored the collective guilt over the holocaust. It was allowed to happen, and the world sat back til Hitler was breathing down their necks. The Duke Of Windsor, heir apparent to the British Throne was a frequent visitor to Germany and a guest of Hitler. The world can be grateful that the excuse for keeping him off the throne was his lover. The other Royals saw to that. Good for them!

However as a grand token of guilt the UN, USA an UK gave the Jews land that had been home to the Palestinians for centuries. USA being always an Ally and back up force for the Israelis. Now this holocaust that is shaping up is a direct result of past and present policy! The Israelis have grown too big and are too violent for diplomacy now. Besides Bush wants to wait til the Israelis are through bombing the s*it out of Lebanon.

In Palestine?? You can't be serious. The Palestinian people were on the verge of peace with Israel and Hamas refused to negotiate. Who is killing who. Israel has a right to protect itself and Hamas has never let up. And If we forget the Holocaust in which 6 million people died at the hands of the Nazis, 3-4 million + people of the Jewish religion and 2 million plus of a combination of Gypsy's and Catholic and disabled people and an assortment of others, teachers, intellectuals. So many and the world should NEVER forget. It was the worst disaster in the 20th century and if we are not alert it could happen again. That is why. There is no holocaust in Palestine only retribution.

Well, those events are not really related. And they are really not comparable in scale. I am not saying it's nice. It isn't. But it's really a different scale. On one side it's a painful, long, illegal occupation, on ther other side it was the intention to really exterminate one people. Wheter your like Israel's policy or not you can't argue that they are trying to exterminate the palestinians. Believe me, if they wanted to so, it'd have been done by now.

That said it's true that some people are really bringing up the holocaust every sentence... as you said even when you talk about the taste of chocolate or the current weather. Just like some others do with 9.11. Everytime you disagree with israel's policy you're suddenly antisemetic, if not directly a nazi.

Whatever has been done to the jewish people doesn't justify hurting one single other person. It's like saying I can slap you because my mother died of cancer.

One would expect from the israelis, who have suffered so much from oppression that they would be a lot more aware of other's people suffering. But memory is short, at least for the people in power today in Tel Aviv.

Israel pulled out of Gaza almost a year ago to give the Palestinians opportunities to build their country and pulled out of Lebanon in year 2000. Israel is not looking for trouble or to kill muslims. The muslims is looking to destroy Israel and to throw all the Jewish to the ocean.
Hizbollah already shot over 500 missiles to Israel cities so did you mean that the Israelis is under another holocaust?

Because the people doing so (not everyone) lack a sense of proportion and respect.

They talk about their small problems by comparing them to some of the most heinous actions in human history in order to inflate themselves and their cause.

All they do is diminish themselves and the memory of this horrible stain on German and European civilization.

Good question!!! I think it is brought up so that people won't criticize the Israeli nation for their wrongs. They want us to feel sorry for them and be on there side no matter what.

I agree, what Palestine is doing to Israel is deplorable. Israel shouldn't have to sit idly by while Palestinian terrorists attack them with missles.
