How do you know that "so many girls 11-14 have sex?" Are you a genius? Or, is it possible that you are projecting from your own experience? Why are you so knowledgeable? Can it be that you are wrong? Think about it, dumbass.

Everyone is so quick to blame the media and television and music, but some of it has to fall back on the parents. If a kid is being brought up good, all the peer pressure and media in the world is not going to make a difference. Parents today just let their kids run free and not care what they are doing and who they are with.

When I was a kid and when I was raising my son, only sexually abused children went on to have sex as preteens and young teens. I don't know how accurate that is, but that is what I noticed. There could be other pressures to conform within subcultures that I am not aware of. But mainstream Americans don't do that, so there is something subversive going on for sure.

to put all the blame on media and songs is just crazy!!!Its a combination of different things but peer pressure, lack of communication between parents or guardians, lack of supervision and education is the greatest problem. Another thing to consider is what to say to these young girls after they have done it. Do you call them names and turn them into outcast or do you nurture them and try to show them better.I'm a parent of two lil girls ages 4 and 1 1/2 and i know that there father and i will talk to them about sex.Not just about pregnancy and dieses but about the emotional turmoil and heartache.

girls have sex at a young age because they are looking for someone to love them and be there and stuff but it usually never works out that way

I really think that it depends on how their childhood is like. Like if when they were small the just sex movies, or parents are doing it and the young girls saw them. Also because they are not educated not to do sol....

Because the boys talk them into it and peer pressure from other girls the same age.
Some people think they are "uncool" because they have not had sex. If you care what other people think too much, you will waste a lot of your life.

im 13 and plan to be a virgin til im married but i think the girls have a feeling that they're not beautiful and celebrities seem happy having sex and also the peer pressure from older guys or older teens w/ boyfriends. or maybe their boifriends say they're gonna break it off if they refuse! and they are the only person who makes them feel accepted!

pressure from boys and not to mention from their friends...some girls make fun of others who r virgins...they just don't realize the things that can happen to them..and some think it makes them cool and popular...i wish they could understand that people just really think they r sluts!!..i also think it makes them feel grown up ....and some do it to feel wanted and beatiful just for some attention that maybe they r not getting at home from their parents!!...the reasons can vary from each kid but the truth is they r doing it way too young these days!!

This is a pretty tough question. But my answer/ opinion for this question will be that they do it because they think that they are grown. Most do it because they are pressured and/ or talked into doing it. Then as for the others, the parents just don't care.

Maybe it's because they think it's time for them to make their own decision. Some girls i know are going through rough times and they think sex is making them feel better about their life
