Just tell him the truth. Let him know that you are no longer together and you aren't into having sex without emotional attatchments. You shouldn't hurt his feelings by telling him you aren't interested in no strings sex.

He's your "ex" for a reason, right?
Ok, try saying this, "I'm sorry, but I can't allow myself to have sex with someone I'm not emotionally involved with".
An old saying goes something like this:

OR...

Dear Ms. Wise Owl,
If he's your ex-, and doesn't want to get back together, but just wants your body, chances are he's only interested in the physical. There are not likely to be too many feelings involved. Let him go!

There is no way to not hurt a person's feelings when you reject them. You know this. Talk to him and be honest about what doesn't work for you. This can be done without hurting and acusing words, but you do need to be honest.

You should just tell him that yoou deserve better than to just be someones back up sex. If your relationship didnt work the first, would sleeping with him bring up old emotions. Maybe you should just say that i am over you, you should get over me
