don't even answer them. I don't walk up to people and ask "what" they are. I think this is a major American thing and it's their constant thinking "oh what is she" as if your are a breed of dog that is the source of racism.

If you don't fit what they label you they get mad. I get it too. If I tan geez I get a whole new set of are you this are you that. It can be a everyday thing. I dont' respond.

I asked a black guy (that said I could PASS for mixed or black, I DON'T NEED TO PASS FOR ANY THING!!!) do you wake up every day saying to your self "I'm black" constantly thinking about it. He said yes!

I certainly don't go through my day thinking about what color my skin is. I just am so leave me alone. So often it seems they are trying to "put me" in their category. You're one of "us" attitude...You're Persian right? You speak Spanish don't you?

You're English? I won't have guessed that! Sick of it too. I didn't get this attitude in Europe. I'ts one thing to ask were you're from a whole nother matter "no I mean what RACE are you"

Well lookie below another JERK saying "you are this" so IGNORANT!!! It's not so mush them askign but they "telling" you what you are and expecting you to agree with them. What pisses me off more is that they even think about it!!!

No, no, no. Don't curse them. You are only projecting or reinforcing a negative image. Explain to them exactly what you are and be proud of it when you tell them. Be nice to them, project a positive image. Enlightening the world a few people at a time. If you handle it in a nice and postive way, at least you will feel better.

i cannot believe that people are so insensitive to your nationality
maybe you should come up with some sarcastic comment...i don't have any for you because i have never been in your shoes...i am obviously just plain old white and no one questions my ancestry
i don't think that cursing them is the answer though...maybe you could just tell them that you are native american...are people really that insensitive? or are they so rooted in their own community that they have never seen anything but themself in a mirror?
i apologize for the ignorance out there

Just tell them you are native American. Tell them the tribe if you would like, but tell them proudly! Don't get angry. Your anger will only make you feel bad. It will help to promote a horrible stereotype and bad feelings towards your people. You were given a great opportunity to enlighten people. Don't waste it.

Treat them like the idiots they are. But then again; this is coming from a naturally anti-social person.
