Hey ,.. My family has like 500 bucks this summer, and we were gonna go to the beach. But i really need braces, i told my mom and she agrees and says that we can get braces instead.. posibly. But i was looking forword to the vacation.. What do i do? Beach vacation for a week.. or braces (what they did) forever?

Um.. yea i forgot to add.. I'm in Mexico.. so the prices are much more cheap (for the same thing) than in the U.S. or wherever u are.. So in 500 bucks i can definetly get either..

Do the braces...you'll be much happier. Although, from what I understand, braces tend to be much more expensive.

You can do both. Braces are the most important (your mom should know that), but I'm pretty sure they cost more than $500. Take a simpler vacation: go to the beach for a weekend instead of a week, or go camping. Have fun!

even if you were to get braces it probably will be more expensive than $500. And if you have more siblings you should consider how they would feel if the summer money was to have your teeth looking better or how much fun they would have going to the beach for a week. if you dont have any siblings then i say go get braces but think about which one you'd rather have or do. i hope you make a wise decision ;)

I had braces for two years. I hated them but I am glad I did it because now I can smile and not worry about how my teeth look. Imagine the smile you will have in future family vacation pictures if you get the braces now.

Braces, because a smile is worth a million. You can always get another vacation like next year and than maybe your braces will be off and you can smile pretty for the camera in your vacation pictures.

If u really need braces get them. They definitley make teeth look better. And maybe instead of the beach u can just go on a little weekend trip to somewhere. Or do something less expensive.

go for the braces! im a current braces wearer and its not fun like summer vacation but think in the future it will be fun when a hot guy comes up to you because of your beautiful smile and asks you out. (maybe you could do a beach vacation for a day if youre close enough?)

How can you take a vacation on $500??? Put the money where ur mouth is. $500 might get you a couple of teeth fixed. Last time i checked braces was closer to $5,000.00

I would rather have fun at the beach, but if
your teeth are in desperate need of braces. And they bring total discomfort, and embarassment, get the braces. If not, go on and go to the beach.

This is a seriously messed up question! No one should ever think there is a decision such as this that requires any thought - healthcare needs get met before entertainment needs. You need the braces, you have the money for braces, you should get the braces. Period.

umm hunni braces are more then 500 dollars but you should get them instead of going on vacation wait till the next years...youll have a better smile and can pick up more boys!! :-]
