anyone want to give me any tips or anything on the assassin?? My boyfriend is playing but he doesnt feel like teaching me, and when he does he always I mean ALWAYS quits on me. So... I was gonna try and play myself.... but assassin is hard for a beginner/??

erm... from my personal point of view, every character offered in Diablo 2 is suitable for beginner, it depends on how you utilize the skill and character. For me I finished diablo 2 by using assasin before, at the beginning it is quite hard for sure, i think for all the character is hard for the beginning, slowly build up your agility because assassin is an agility hero after all, and the trap setting skills are quite helpful in the beginning as well as late game, but dont expect these traps can take down diablo, mephisto, and bail... Just don't worry, you use the right character, good luck

I always play an Assassin, and I would think this character would be a good one for a first-time player because she has a good balance of close (martial arts) and ranged combat skills (traps). Depending on what you prefer, there are several ways to build an Assassin. A couple of different builds are listed here:

The Ninja is in my opinion the best build listed.
