I have saw this boy play shortstop and pitch. He can throw 80 mph. Alot of coaches from other schools have put a speed gun on him while he was pitching. A coach from Auburn is interested in him and talked with him during the State tournament. No matter what college he decides to play for will be lucky to get him.

As a pitcher, 80 MPH isn't going to turn any heads in the college ranks. You'd need to have a good curve to set up the "fast" ball.
As a SS, a gun is good, but they are looking for range, a good glove and a good bat. A good non-pitcher HS prospect needs to be hitting over .400. At 5'8", your power numbers are probably not that high, so a good On Base % is a must.

Honestly, at 14 there's no way to tell.
You have a lot of growing up to do still, and while I applaud your ability to throw 80 mph, it's meaningless, great for your local Babe Ruth league, but unimpressive to most baseball scouts. If playing college baseball is an important thing for you I'd recommend working hard and often on the fundamentals of the game and farmiliarize yourself with the knowledge of game situations.
As far as your arm goes, take care of yourself, you're only 14 and throwing a ball 80 mph is putting great strain on your arm muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints. It only takes one pitch to ruin your hopes and dreams forever, be careful and get the guidance of a one on one trainer.

How do you know you're throwing the ball 80MPH?
You want to find out? Go to a football field, if you can throw the ball 100 yards - 300ft(no wind) that means the ball "left your hand at 80MPH"...That's the equivalent of "pitching" at around 76MPH....If you throw the ball 375ft congratulations you have a good arm...the ball left your hand at 100MPH
A fastball which leaves the pitchers hand at 90MPH crosses the plate .375 seconds later at 82MPH....That's why those damn radar guns are a joke, unless they are aimed to pick up the ball "exactly" half way between the pitchers release point and the plate you're getting a false reading..That's if the radar is accurate to begin with, which they usually aren't...

What does throwing 80 mph have to do with anything if you play SS? It all depends, if you dont blow out your arm or get hurt in some other way, if you are really as good as you think you are (hard to tell), then yes, you could possibly have a shot.

80 mph in high school means nothing since you play on a shorter feild. It also has nothin to do with being a SS. You have to hit and be able to feild well.

The #1 criteria for quality is arm strength. You can definitely play college. Find a coach who can teach you how to pitch. Otherwise you will ruin your arm before you get fully grown.

You still have a lot of growing to do, but fine example, Corey Patterson is 5'9 and a terrific outfielder, so it can be done.
