What if the happy medium's last name was Large?

Isn't a happy medium something that two or more parties can come to? You know, like when they are in argument and so Mr. 1 is like, "let's do part of mine," and Mr.2 is like, "ok, just as long as we do part of mine." Then Mr.1 and Mr.2 came to a happy medium.

Oh. I thought a happy medium was a psychic who stayed stoned on grass. There were a lot of those in the '60's.
