We came up with the name Crocs because crocodiles are tough and strong animals with no natural predators. Crocodiles are equally good in land and water and live for a very long time, a great description of our Crocs shoes!
As for the person that was questioning what they are made of, they aren't going to disclose that. I've tried on a lot of the shoes that are copies of Crocs, and none are as good. If Crocs went out and said, "Our shoes are 40% (insert material name), 25% (insert material name),,, etc" than everyone could copy it. I know the "proprietary" title that companies use is a polite way of saying, "We aren't going to tell you because it is a secret". It's the same reason there isn't a patent for KFC's secret herbs and spices. If they patent it, then the information of what it is and how it is made is out for the people to copy as soon as the patent expires. If you don't let the secret out, no one can copy you exactly. Everything will just be second best.

mmm...mrs nighs is right! wow.. i ove those shoes.. my feet dont hurt after a whole day of walking around...i got all my nurses crocs for christmas...
