More times than not, cops will get away with going over the line because they have the power. Suspended with pay? Isn't that vacation??

ummmm.... OK, there are like 2 sides to that story. 1, is the common since of the officer. i mean really, he doesn't want to get hurt or wants anyone else to get hurt because they think(or know) that the person is violating the law. 2, the person could just be in the wrong place at the wrong time. that really is unfair. oh and by the way, cops will get arrested and fired if they violate the law, they don't get away with bad stuff. it is like the same. Americans and cops both have to obey the law, even the president has to. the problem really just varies depending on the situation.

What? Are you saying it should be okay to hit a cop? I'm thinking that is not a good idea. When a cop is trying to subdue you they may use tactics that don't feel very good. If you hit them back, its assault on a policeman, which means your day is about to get really really bad.

because most ignorant individuals with badges takes authority and uses it to their benefits and promote agression in the wrong matters. If the citizens would speak out and protest the law it may make a difference. Most of society is running scared because of police brutality. Honestly I despise officers because of that reason. When I had a run in with a cop, I told him apeice of my mind( because I felt that I wa in the right) I went to the Judge, wrote the state representive, the mayor and proceeded to get in contact with the authorities in Austin sinse I'm in Texas. A few months later I reported harrassment and by coincidence it was the same officer had to assist me that prevoiusly tried to hurt me. He remembered my name and face. We spoke about the incident and he appologized. He resigned and moved. Maybe I wasn't his only victim. God works in mysterious ways. But not all of them will respond that way.
