Most men just refuse to grow up. Hanging out with their friends, watching TV and/or playing video games is just another way to hold on to their youth/childhood. There are a few exceptions, but they are very rare and extremely hard to find.

Well we don't have to, but the reality is that a man cannot be tied to a woman 24/7, we need to just get out or else we'll do it behind your backs, that's just how it is, it's no one's fault, it's just nature. However if the 'neglect' is so constant that you only pretty much lseep together, well, something needs to be done and since I'm not a relationship counselor I can't say what needs to be done, but there' probably some around here in Yahoo! answers.

Some are uncaring. Some are selfish and some others are both. Then you have the men who feel more comfortable with their friends or what ever. Depending on what category yours falls into, you may want to talk with him and see if you two can work things out. Good luck.

Men don't have to do this. It's unfortunate that too many do.

I used to do this, to the extent that I lost my family for a while. I got them back and I won't make that mistake again.

The reason: instant gratification. It's easy. But there is so much more value to spending time with the love of your life.

I agree with the first answer to an extent.... i dont think its a bad thing that your man has interests outside of you - think how annoying it would be if he were up your **** 24/7. If you dont see him at all, except for dinner and bedtime, spice things up a little. Meet him at the door in a bowtie and nothing else...pick him up from work on friday and take him to a sexy location for the weekend - and ENJOY it. Good Luck

My husband does the same thing. He'll sit in front of the Play Station for hours. I think it is an escape from the stresses of life. The more difficult things get, whether it's financial, the kids or work, he plays more.

Its healthy to have interests outside of just one person. Its also healthy to have friends outside of just a marriage. Its not neglect, and wives (or husbands) who see it that their partners should only have them are going to be seeing divorce lawyers in time.

I notice that when I am naggy or bitchy I lose my hubby to video games, the PC, or tv more. As far as friends go...it is healthy for both people to have them as well as each other.
