does any one know really good excersises to do in preparaion of his upcoming season? Or conditioning workouts?

Plyometrics. Joe Sakic does it to get his explosive skating.
It keeps your fast twitch muscle fibers in shape.

I use a training aid called Vicent Lecavailler's 21 day workout. It was very helpful!!
