She made no profit. She's at the seashore; anybody can open up their own seashell sales shop. Competition from rival shops would drive her profits (and everybody else's) down to break-even compared to any other work in the area, so her effective profits are non-existant. She may as well flip burgers as sell seashells, at least money-wise. She might get special pleasure from her work at the seashell shop, but no special money.
In fact, she might get no money at all, if people just decide to collect their own shells at the seashore...
