you do need an act score

here is what you need:

An accredited high school diploma
A GED Certificate
A high school diploma and an ACT score of 16 or higher (if from a non-accredited high school)
An Alabama Occupational Diploma and an ACT score of 16 or higher

Have your high school or college(s) that you have attended send us a copy of your transcript(s). High School transcripts should be sent after the graduation date has been posted.
Take the ACT Compass Placement Test if you don't have credit for our college level math and English courses before you register. (Call the Testing Office at 856-7896.)
If you're a transient student, ask the school which you've been attending to send us a letter that will certify that credits earned at Jefferson State will count toward your academic program.
