Call me weird and out of the mainsteam, but I'm opposed to baby killing.

Pro-choice is such a cowardly, spineless answer. Tell me, are you "pro-choice" on slavery? Is it up to each plantation owner to decide if he wants a slave or not? You'd never own a slave, but you think you have no business telling other people what they should do?

Abortion is almost always WRONG. I have heard all the arguments."It's a woman's right" (haven't seen such a right in the US Constitution). "It's only a lump of cells." "It isn't alive" are the most popular of the "Pro-Choice" crowd.
Meanwhile, the "Pro-Life" crowd says it's God's will that there shouldn't be any abortions.
Quite frankly, none of those arguments do anything for me.
Is there something that all people of good will can agree upon? Perhaps it is this. An innocent human life should not be taken without just cause.
One may argue about the morality of killing during a war. Or there is the death penalty for people convicted of murder. And there is self-defense. I think that just about covers it.
Your neighbor plays his TV too loud at 3 AM? Not a reason to kill him. Your boss won't give you a raise? Not a reason to kill her. You're not ready to be a parent? I guess that's the question here.
Certainly, except where the life of the mother is in serious danger from the pregnancy, none of those arguable cases applies. For example, if she is a diabetic and the pregnancy might destroy her kidneys, then I think it should be up to her. Well then, why do I say the abortion is wrong most of the time? Simple. I was born in January. Working backwards, I guess that I was conceived about the early part of April of the previous year. I am now an old f@rt. I claim to be human. I claim the right to be not terminated without just cause as stated above.
My DNA is the same as when I was 12 years old. Same person, different package. It's the same as when I was 3 1/2. Same person, different package. It's the same as when I was born. SPDP. It's the same as when I was just conceived. SPDP.
Unless you think that I am not a person now, I was also a person that April many years ago. I claim for that person the same rights to Life, Liberty and Property that the Constitution gives to me today.

I'm for abortion prior to the heart beating (there's a specific name for this opinion but I forgot it), to give the mother time to decide if the baby will lead a healthy life, be taken care of, etc etc. But I don't like the fact that when the heart starts beating, they still allow abortions. To me, at that point, it IS a live, human being.
Plus, if you deny women the right to abortion, they will find quacks that will give them abortions, and I guarantee that the womens life will be put into more danger, or it could even be fatal.
And putting it up for adoption... as a child that went through the system, I know it doesn't work, and it, plainly said, sucks. Going through the adoption system has set me back in life. And there are so many kids in the agency, it's incredibly hard to get a foster home or adoptive parents.
And I don't know how many teenage girls you know that have gotten multiple abortions, and use it as a tool to sleep around and not care, because every teenage girl that I know that's gotten pregnant has been forced to carry the child and live with their mistake of not keeping their legs shut.

It all depends on the situation. I'm against killing in general. But I don't like most people anyway. And babies are just little people. So where I still think it's wrong, It might make the world better with a lower population. Because you are also stopping that bably from reproducing too, and so on and so forth. I am deffinatly pro choice though, all women should be able to choose to have sex or not have sex. The only time making abortion illeagle is against pro choice, is when the lady is wraped. If you don't want to deal with kids, don't have sex. $#$ masterbate, have orall sex, use some birthcontroll, Have anal sex, have homosexual sex. But if you take the risk of getting pregnant, deal with the consequences of your actions, and don't make the baby pay for it...

I am very pro-choice. It is the woman's choice and not the governments. Granted, the father should have a say in it but those are the only two who should, unless the woman is under 18, at which time HER parents have a right to say what happens.
I respect people who are anti-abortion, provided they are not pushing their beliefs on others. Unless it is their body, they have no rights to say a single thing.

It is murder and should be outlawed.
The woman has a choice, don't have sex or don't get pragnant. Once you are pregnant then it is a living being and your "rights" end when you impose your rights into the rights of another. That child has the rights of Life, Liberty, and the Persuit of Happiness. You don't have the right to remove these rights from the child.
You don't or can't raise the child? Then give it up for adoption. There are parents paying as much as $50,000 to get a child.

Actually, both. Unless there is a medical emergency or the woman/girl is way too young to handle carrying out the pregnancy till they can give it up for adoption to good people, then I am against it.

Infanticide is an unfortunate fact about primate existance. Our closest living relatives, the chimps and bonobos occationally do it too. I, for one, prefer to have it done before the child is born. There is suffering, but it is less than dying exposed to the elements. It is going to happen, so we might as well be able to say how it is done. If abortion is illegal, infanticide will still happen, but in a way that is more painful for the child and more damaging for our society.

Everyone says that there are alot of people that want to adopt a baby, but many of those people that are willing to adopt, travel over seas to adopt. I don't understand how this helps with these poor kids that nobody wants, here in the U.S. So to answer your question; I believe it should be a decision made by the mother of the baby. Everything happens for a reason. He is testing us.

I'm also against it, unless it would kill the mother. I see no reason to kill a baby, when so many people want to adopt one.

It's so hard to say when an embryo has "rights". I think it's when it can survive outside the uterus without any life support.
Before that, I believe woman has a right to choose. After that it should be considered "embryo-slaughter"(kind of like "man slaughter charge)
But I don't want to be on the jury on that trial!!!
