Try this editing and see what you think:

Small groups are fun and exciting. When I am working on a programming project I enjoy working with a group of people. The group can generate many ideas and layouts for the various projects. In this type of environment you get to work with many different types of awesome people who contribute many creative ideas.

I believe that a small group can perform the job more efficiently than an individual. I also think that, when working in small groups, I tend to learn more. However there can be a slight disadvantage to working in small groups. That is the risk that because of the amount of discussion you can eventually forget about the task that initially brough the group together.

I find working in small groups fun and exciting! I always enjoy working with a group of like-minded individuals for brainstorming creative programming projects. Working with different types of people leads to more creative contributions, a small group is also more efficient than someone working alone. I believe I learn more and am more inspired when I am a part of something bigger than myself. The only draw-back I have experienced is that the possibility of getting off-task is higher when the group starts talking about non-project subjects.

You did say to feel free to make changes... which I did. The flow of your rough draft is chunky, you are using too many words to describe the same thing. Try instead to write down what you are talking about then what you want to say about that subject. I used "I" first person although it is better not to and using "you" unless you are talking about the readers, themselves, is not a good idea. In this case you did not need multiple paragraphs if you require more papragraphs then focus on how to regulate the small group so that it does not get off-task.
The fact is there is more than just this way to rewrite your paragraphs. The beauty of writing is that there is always another way to say it.

You need more than smoothness. You start out in favor of small groups, appear to talk about groups of any size, and end by criticizing small groups, although the criticism applies to any size group. You need coherence. I sure hope you don't program this way!

[Small groups can be fun and exciting to work with in programming. The different ideas and points of view make for more variety and creativity in layouts for projects, and the give-and-take with other awesome people is very stimulating. While small groups can be more efficient or effective than a single person, the group has to avoid sliding into a general exchange of unrelated matters.]

let the english master (me) help you:

Working in small groups is both fun and productive. When programming, I find that working with a group of people is beneficial to generating ideas and layouts for projects; oftentimes, all you need is another person's creative perspective to move a project along .

While working in small groups is generally more efficient than working alone, occaisonally distractions arise in the form of conversation. At the end of the day however, you find your work more enjoyable when you can share the feeling of a job well done with others.

hope this helps :-P
