I JUST LEFT THE MOVIES i was cufused at the scene towards the end of the movie. did capt. jack handcuff himself to the mast; because he was heroic. or did Kiera Knightly:s carecter handcuff him during the big kiss.

Elizabeth not only handcuffed him to the mast, she SAID she did it to make sure he went down with the ship because Davy Jones was after him, not the rest of them.

Keira Knightley's character, Elizabeth, distracted Captain Jack with that kiss so she could back him toward the mast and handcuff him to it. The only truly heroic thing Jack did during the last part of the film was come back to the Pearl and shoot the barrel so that the Kraken would leave. Besides, Jack wasn't about to go down with his ship. He was about to get the heck out of there, until Elizabeth distracted him, that is.

Ms.Swan handcuffed him to the ship....she got him in that position by acting like she was going to kiss him..actually she did and thats when she put the cuffs on him...and while she was kissing him Will saw it..not knowing the whole story...leaving an opening for another movie

Keira cuffed the basta**. I almost fell asleep with this movie. Won't watch it again. Part 1 is so much better in my opinion.
