Saudi Arabia has the key either to run the world or shut it down because we all know that it plays a leading role in OPEC and it ranks as the largest exporter country providing 1/3 petrol in the world.

Imagine if we just burn the oil here.. would you be able to fly from florida to new york within 2 hours? .. i don't think so .. you may need to buy a bicycle. But for us it won't make much difference you know we are Bedouins and we still have our own camels but i believe that your president will be broadcasted ridding a bike.

- Venezuela: 14.4%
- Iraq: 11.4%

That's a whopping 55% coming from abroad.

Hey.. Iraq is in the top list in 2002.. isn't that... funny? Obviously, invading Canada or Mexico wasn't an option.

Now if all these stopped exporting to the U.S.A for only 6 months, there would definitely be a total war.

Well Saudis sell a ton of oil to china too. Guess why all the prices are going up, because china needs so much. You want the reason the gas prices are up, go to your local walmart and make sure your purchase has the "Made in China" label.

We import 60% of our oil from the Mideast, and Venezuela...

If the Saudis decide to cut us off, we are in DEEP S***.....In 1974, we were importing far less, and the Saudis did just that...Gas went from 19.9 cents to 88.9 cents in 3 months...I lived it...You couldn't get gas ANYWHERE! Ask anyone that was driving then...I was 16, and had just received my driver's license...

Although we have the technology and the resources to be self sufficient in oil, it will never happened because most OPEC countries need our dollars more than we need their oil. We have enough coal, gas and oil reserves (Alaska for instance) to supply all our needs for hundreds of years. If we ever become energy self sufficient, most Middle East oil producing countries will end up tending to their camels and playing with scorpions in the sand. Other than oil, they have nothing else except dates and camel dung.
