Should American writers cover the US War in Iraq?

Why not? Should Republicans report on affairs of the Bush administration?

Everybody approaches a story seeing it through their own lens shaped by their identity and personal experiences. If you're excluding Jews, you might as well exclude non-Jews (for coming at this with a less favorable attitude towards the Jews). And, besides, just because a person is Jewish doesn't mean that s/he can't have a valid take on the Middle East situation.

Should white reporters report on Chicago?

You didn't really think this question out did you?

Stories don't just arrive on the network news without being vetted through about 9 layers of management and editing.

Even if bias exists on the part of a reporter it is the job of the people above him/her to find it.

Also you're probably not aware most of the work and reporting is actually done by the producer, not the correspondent.

Any reporter regaredless of age, religion, gender or race should be given the right to do their job.The issue isn't about who is reporting ,it is about WHAT they are reporting and whether they're being one sided, biased or not offering a valid true cover of their topic. Now,what the world should be proud of and call a Great repoter is that who gives across the true picture, without modifications, adjustments or manipulations. These people should report on the middle east and all over the world.
