Girl, you have done your part. He doesn't want to listen to your advice and went on abusing drugs. No, it's not your fault in general, it's his' fault for not listening to you and to abuse drugs in the first place. Should he listen to you, he should not have come to this condition. But it's a good thing you still keep in touch with him through thick and thin. I think you are a very good and loyal friend. Keep it up.You might want to send your friend to the rehabilitation centre. Accompany him and soon enough he will learn to treasure you much better. Do what you feel is correct. I have faith in you. All the best.

My father was a drug addict and unfortunately once they get into the heavy drugs it goes from using to an illness. There is no cure for being addicted to drugs, except for the user to hit rock bottom and work very hard to get back to the top. It might be a life long battle for him if he recovers. So my answer is no it is not your fault. If my father was alive today he would tell you never to blame yourself. You did tell him and all you can do is keep telling him and when he does fall and when he does want to get better, then that is when you can be there to help pick up his pieces. You sound like an amazing friend and he is really lucky to have you.

Well, firstly, don't blame yourself. Life sucks; we all know this. Everyone handles depression differently.

There's a story on fanfiction.net baisded on the show of Zack and Cody called Illigal Mistakes or something like that. But you need to get him help, not hide it...

I know this because my friend got into drugs and is sooo depressed now, dont let him go down the same whole

Quit blaming yourself he has a mind of his own. Sometimes people have to hit rock bottom to stop.

You didn't hold a gun to his head and force him to take drugs. He choice to do that himself and look where it got him. There's nothing more you can do. If he pulls through let this be a lesson to him and one that he will hopefully never repeat.
