That would either be Cheetah, the Chimp for the Tarzan movies, who is now living out his life in the luxurious Palm Springs, California, or Bubbles, Michael Jackson's right-hand primate. He's now doing roller disco in Kansas.

Cheeta the Chimp would be my vote for most famous. Next April, 2007, he will turn 75 years old! According to the Guinness Book of World Records, he is the world's oldest living chimp! He is known for his roles in Tarzan movies and in Dr. Doolittle. He likes to paint and lives with his "owner", Dan Westfall, in Palm Springs, California. You can learn about him at this website: http://www.cheetathechimp.org/
Next to him would be the famous chimp couple from the future: Cornelius and Zira. They arrived in the 1970s from our future with their chimp friend Dr. Milo. They were treated as celebrities until the US Government decided to exterminate their [soon to be]newborn child. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067065/
