8 is the rule. However, many teens find they need more than that, often 9 to 10 hours. I still need 9 more often than not in my 20's to feel really rested.

Start at 8 hours, and gradually work up to the amount of time that makes you feel best when you wake up.

Being a teenager you should get at least 8 hours of sleep per day. An adult needs a minimum of 6 hours even 5 to function efficiently but you haven't reached that stage so stick to the 8 hours. Too much or too little sleep may make you cranky so get the full 8 hours.

As a teenager your body is undergoing HUGE changes it is fine to sleep more until you are about 19. My daughter is around 17 and she sleeps in most days or goes to bed early.

The average requirement of sleep for a 15 yr old is about 7-10 hours but it depends on the person and their lifestyle. Enjoy being a kid it is over way too fast and you can never get it back. You can tell your parents that Sister Sandy RN told you that you SHOULD sleep in whenever you can.

Everyone is different, so sleep requirements are different. It has been medically proven that sleep deprivation can cause your immune system to go down, and you'll get sick a lot quicker than people who's sleep habits are normal. If I had to put a number on it, I'd say between 6 and 8 hours each night.

Theres no set answer, everyone differs but 8 hours is the 'norm' i think. I know people who can live on 4 hours a night. If youre alert during the day and functioning ok then what your getting should be fine. I need 6 hours (but LOVE my lie ins) and i know when i dont i am the grumpiest b****r around, ask my husband!!!! P.S if your worried because you love your bed then dont, youre a growing lad!

Generally, 7-9 hours a night, according to something I once read. But it really depends. Some people are perfectly find on 5 hours, while others (like myself) need 10-12 hours.
